Following a 1-1 draw in Rochester on Friday, the Rochester Rhinos concluded the home-and-home weekend with a 2-0 triumph over archrivals the Montreal Impact at Saputo Stadium this afternoon.  The victory boosts Rochester's record to 7-5-7 in the 2008 season.

Montreal's three-game week seemed to take its toll as the Impact was unable to keep up with the calculated and deliberate play of the Rhinos shortly after the opening kickoff.  Luke Kreamalmeyer was the first to put one past Impact keeper Matthew Jordan after he received a picture-perfect pass from Rhinos point-leader Johnny Menyongar inside the 18.  Rochester's purposeful play style struck again late in the half when Matthew Delicâte effortlessly booted the ball past an out-of-position Jordan.

The second half brought more good news for the Rhinos as Montreal point-leader Roberto Brown was ejected for elbowing Andrew Gregor in the head, giving Rochester the man-advantage very early into the half.  Rochester maintained the 2-0 lead for the entirety of the half.  Scott Vallow worked very hard throughout the match to earn his seventh shutout of the season.

The Rhinos return home for a match on Sunday, August 3^rd against the Atlanta Silverbacks.  The action begins at 6:00 p.m. at PAETEC Park.
