Rhinos Want Fans To Rank Top Matches

Fans to determine the top #15 matches in franchise history

ROCHESTER, NY – The Rochester Rhinos announced today a special opportunity for fans to rank the top Rhinos matches in franchise history as the organization begins its 15th season of professional soccer.

The list of twenty matches was compiled by a soccer panel consisting of Jeff DiVeronica, Democrat and Chronicle sports reporter (covered the Rhinos since their inception), James Weise, News Director for SoccerSam.com, Joe Giuliano, Rhinos Television and Radio Broadcaster and Andrew Battisti, Co-host of the WYSL radio show “Soccer Is A Kick In The Grass”.

The top 15 matches based on rankings will be featured at home matches this season. The celebration will begin with the home opener on Saturday, May 1st and will feature match #15. The countdown continues until the announcement of the #1 ranked match at the regular season finale on Friday, September 17th.

If you feel there was a match omitted from the list, contact David Cieslinski with your addition by email at davec@rhinossoccer.com. Fans will have until March 15th to submit their match rankings.

The Rhinos begin their 15th season of play on Saturday, April 10 in Miami, FL to take on the Miami FC Blues. Rochester opens its 2010 home slate at Marina Auto Stadium on Saturday, May 1 against the Carolina RailHawks at 7:00 p.m. Season tickets are currently on sale with packages starting at $35 in the Supporters Section and $99 in the General Admission and Reserved Seating sections.
