Rhinos Sign Gore and FerdinandROCHESTER, NY – The Rochester Rhinos announced the signing of forward/midfielder T.J. Gore and forward Max Ferdinand on Tuesday. The signings are pending USSF approval. Gore, 22, joins the Rhinos after completing his four year career with the Vermont Catamounts where the Macomb, Michigan native appeared in 74 matches scoring 10 goals and adding 13 assists for 33 points. His list of accomplishments at the University of Vermont includes a selection to the 2006 America East All-Rookie Team, 2006 NSCAA All-Northeast Region Third Team, 2006 All American East All-Conference First Team, and 2007 & 2008 America East All-Conference Second Team. “T.J. is very strong and versatile” said Rhinos Head Coach Bob Lilley. “He is an athletic player who can play anywhere along the back which gives us a lot of flexibilit in that area.” Ferdinand, 23, a native of Haiti, signed with the Rhinos after his rookie season with the Baltimore Blast of the Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) where he was named Rookie of the Year for the 2010 season. “Max is a quick and dynamic outside midfielder” said Lilley. He is a very good ball crosser who gives us a different dimension on the flank.” ABOUT THE RHINOS The Rhinos begin their 15th season of play on Saturday, April 10 in Miami, FL to take on the Miami FC Blues. Rochester opens its 2010 home slate at Marina Auto Stadium on Saturday, May 1 against the Carolina RailHawks at 7:00 p.m. Season tickets are currently on sale with packages starting at $35 in the supporters section and $99 in the General Admission and Reserved Seating sections.
